We would also like to bring to your attention that
we require at least 48 hour advance notice when contemplating a server upgrade.
There are multiple pre-installation requirements, specifically for OASIS client
sites operating AESVpn and or OasisEtrack 24/7 cargo tracking modules.
These are described in some detail below!
1. Moving OASIS from an old
server to a new server is a straight forward procedure. Please note
64bit limitation notice.
a. Copy the contents of the entire OASIS directory to the new SERVER.
b. We suggest that OASIS RESIDE at the ROOT of the C_Drive on the NEW SERVER.
c. MAP the OASIS folder / directory to a DRIVE LETTER i.e.: F, K, M, O does not
matter but should be mapped.
d. give all users FULL RIGHTS to this folder / directory.
e. make sure that printers etc are properly enabled and that users can access.
f. place desktop shortcuts on staff PC's by accessing OASIS directory and
placing OASIS.EXE shortcut on desktop.
For Accounting Systems for those employees requiring access to AccountEx go to
OASIS\Ax5\ dir and place ACCTEX.EXE shortcut on desktop.
