Since the catastrophic loss of our offices due to Hurricane Katrina www.melcogroup.com
/katrina.htm Melco Group Intl., Inc. has acquired the services of a data &
server Co-Location provider. We have a capacity of 3,000 Gigabytes of storage
and there are four redundant Data Centers capable of switching services between
East Coast, South East, Central and West Coast locations. Short of a
"Nuclear Disaster" (God forbid) I think we are covered against
Hurricanes, floods, mud slides, forest fires, meteor showers (have I forgotten
anything?) ah yes, Termites, etc.

The facility, features around 30,000 square feet of
total space, redundant UPS systems, generator backup, VESPA detection
systems, closed circuit monitoring of all areas and entrances, card key
access, 24 hour guard manned security, redundant a/c systems, and fiber
from 5 separate providers (and is in discussions with three additional
providers for the ultimate in redundancy). |
The technology necessary to keep our servers fully
operational 24 hours a day, 7 days a week have been well planned for. The custom designed facility
provides redundant optical fiber connections through Cox, Qwest, and ELI,
in addition to multiple Internet back-bone providers, including UUNET,
Broadwing, and Global Crossing, making scaling bandwidth faster and much
more affordable.
In addition, this world-class data center is custom designed with raised
floors, HVAC temperature control systems, redundant power, UPS back-up and
power conditioning systems and generators. They provide 24/7 physical
security; including state-of-the-art smoke detection and fire suppression
systems, motion sensors, biometric access controls, as well as video
surveillance and security breach alarms. |

The 24/7 on-site systems management team, comprised of Engineers and
Technicians, is on hand to ensure that the data center provides the
reliability and scalability essential to the co-location facilities. |
